Kisumu, Kenya — December 8, 2024
The Kachok Ambassadors Chorus (Kachamba Chorus) successfully hosted the Triple L Initiative (Let Lydia Lean) fundraiser at Kisumu South SDA Church, drawing support from music enthusiasts and well-wishers across the region. The initiative aimed to raise funds to cover the medical expenses of Lydia Achieng, a community member in urgent need of treatment.
Fundraising Efforts and Results
The fundraising event combined both physical and online contributions, collecting a total of KES 202,600, against a target of KES 450,000. While the amount raised fell short of the intended goal, the support demonstrated by the community underscored the spirit of generosity and solidarity.
The online fundraising campaign ran concurrently with the main event, attracting contributions from well-wishers beyond Kisumu. Several churches, corporate sponsors, and individual donors also made generous pledges.
