Lake Victoria Field Youth Ministry Responds to Allegations Against Church Leadership

The Youth Ministry of the Lake Victoria Field (LVF) of the Seventh-day Adventist Church has issued an official statement in response to recent allegations leveled against the church leadership. The allegations, which include accusations of infidelity, financial mismanagement, and nepotism, were made public in a letter purportedly written by a group of concerned youths demanding accountability and reforms.

In their official statement, the LVF Youth Ministry has strongly condemned the allegations, labeling them as propaganda spread by a rebel faction attempting to tarnish the reputation of the church and its leaders. According to the youth ministry, the individuals behind the letter do not represent the official youth department and have no legitimate authority to speak on its behalf.

Defending Leadership and Church Progress

The statement praises the leadership of the LVF President and his team, commending their commitment to fostering unity, peace, and development within the church over the past seven years. The youth ministry emphasized the significant progress the church has made under the current administration, citing spiritual growth, infrastructural advancements, and strong institutional development.

“Our leadership has worked tirelessly to ensure that the church remains a beacon of hope and faith. Since the inauguration of our Field, we have witnessed tremendous growth, both spiritually and physically,” the statement read.

Condemning False Accusations

The LVF Youth Ministry further decried what it termed a “satanic and barbaric act of cowardice,” accusing certain individuals of attempting to exploit the church’s name for personal interests. They argue that the accusations being circulated are unfounded and intended to mislead the public.

“We call for vigilance and condemn this desperate attempt to drag the church into unnecessary controversy. We will not sit back and allow rogue individuals to malign the integrity of our pastors and leaders,” the statement added.

Appeal for Unity and Focus on Spiritual Growth

In response to the allegations, the youth ministry urged all church members to remain steadfast in their faith and not be swayed by misleading narratives. They encouraged the congregation to focus on strengthening their spiritual commitment and upholding peace.

“We urge those spreading negativity to reflect on the undeniable progress we have made. Let us focus on working together for the continued growth of our church. Our unity and commitment to God’s mission will always triumph over falsehoods and division,” the statement concluded.

Rebuttal Against Social Media Circulation

The LVF Youth Ministry clarified that they are not associated with the letter circulating on social media and reaffirmed that their statement represents the official position of the youth department. They cautioned members against consuming unverified information and spreading baseless claims that could damage the church’s reputation.

As the controversy continues to unfold, church members and leaders are closely monitoring the situation, with calls for due process and further engagement within the faith community. The response from the West Kenya Union Conference and other higher church authorities is expected to provide further clarity in the coming days.

This remains a developing story, and further updates will be provided as new information emerges.
