On July 7, 2025, during the 62nd General Conference Session held in St. Louis, Missouri, Pastor Blasious M. Ruguri was re-elected to serve as President of the East Central Africa Division (ECD) of the Seventh-day Adventist Church for the 2025 to 2030 term.
His re-election affirms the trust and confidence the global church delegates have in his spiritual and strategic leadership. As division president and General Conference vice president, Pastor Ruguri will continue to guide the church’s mission across the 11 nations within the ECD territory, promoting evangelism, education, health outreach, and holistic ministry.
Under his leadership, the East Central Africa Division is expected to strengthen its gospel outreach, nurture members, and address regional needs with Christ-centered solutions.
The vote, part of the global delegate process, reflects a shared vision to move the church forward in unity and purpose during this new quinquennium.
